• Global Procurement Specialist

Job Duties: 

Serve as the company’s in-house procurement expert to apply specialized knowledge and in-depth experience in the oil and gas industry. Consult with our leadership to implement the most up-to-date, streamlined processes in order to increase efficiency and, in turn, maximize profits. Compile and analyze statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Compile information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Confer with suppliers and analyze supplier operations to determine factors that affect prices and determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability and ability to meet required schedules. Review proposals, negotiate prices, select or recommend suppliers, analyze trends, follow up on orders placed, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records. Assist leadership in the preparation of bid packages. Frequent internal company and external contacts while representing the organization on special projects. Prepare proposal requests consistent with requirements of the contract. Develop new sources of supply based on quality product, on-time delivery and competitive pricing. Solicit and award purchase orders consistent with the requirements of the contract. Consult with the company’s management team with regard to the portfolio development and long-term vision and strategy. Recommend processes to begin and improve the overall portfolio, sales and profitability of the company’s services. Develop and advise the management team with regard to developing and improving customer service, logistics, and supply chain management. Make recommendations to the sales and management teams regarding the distribution and dealership network of the company, particularly within the target market and strategic planning for same. Make recommendations regarding organizing distribution channels to enhance the company’s sales and marketing efforts within the oil and gas market and generally any matter arising out of the procurement, supply chain management, and marketing activities of the company. Evaluate the company’s supplier base within the target market, report findings of same, and provide recommendations to develop new procurement sources and reorganize the company’s networks in order to improve margins. Analyze the company’s business plan and make specific recommendations to manage more efficiently the company’s procurement services in the oil and gas industry. Consult with the company’s sales and management team regarding matters related to set-up and organization of the company’s network to reach existing and potential customers of the procurement services within the oil and gas industry. Advise the company’s management with regard to key accounts. Advise the company’s sales and management team regarding matters related to set-up, organization, and training of a customer service network to provide efficient and knowledgeable support to clients in the oil and gas industry. Analyze problems and recommend solutions related to international procurement. Provide contacts within the industry to help the company achieve its goals. 

Minimum Prerequisites: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business, International Relations or related field, plus five years experience in purchasing or procurement.
